One thing that 12 Monkeys does is make it seem very dull on purpose. The short film uses a narrator with a very monotone voice to show this off. Also, the movie uses still images and adds voiceovers or other sounds to them after. This once again achieves the same goal, being to make the film detached. Le Jetee uses certain transitions to acquire a "dream-like ambiance" which helps to contrast the clean shots when characters are conversing. The film also uses audio to great effect and adds it a lot of important and disturbing imagery to amplify the visuals. An example used for this is the audio of a heart beating for a dramatic and intense scene. This helps the audience feel the intensity of the pictures being shown as if their own heart was racing. Another example of this is a slick and romantic score for a positive effect on the audience, once again enhancing the images. Genre Choice

Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. We weren't thinking to add dialogue at first as our idea, but it might be the thing that we need to add. As stated previously, the mystery genre has a decent popularity in films nowadays. The wide variety of aspects and work that goes into these films really brings it all together. Which further creates something that truly represents mystery. Production Blog: My House

Filming Blog We went to my house on Saturday, December 4th, to film throughout the area. Ethan couldn't make it this time because he was studying for his driver's license. But it was fine because he hadn't played a significant role in the tale thus far. That day, me, Chad, and Sebastian were the ones filming. We were all dressed in the same clothes as before. This was simple because I wore the same coat and pants the entire time. We headed to the streets around wear I live to film after a little planning of where to go for this filming session. So we decided to start with scene 9, which was a chasing scene between Chad and Sebastian, in which they raced and ran It was exhausting for Chad and Sebastian, according to them. They were OK despite all of the jogging. Chad began to ramp up the pace and run quicker in scene 10 to demonstrate how the robber was able to flee.
