Filming Blog
On another Saturday morning we return to Holiday park. Though it was slightly more crowded we managed to find a perfect spot to pick up our film again. Following the storyboard we managed to make tons of progress on our film. We ran into a little altercation regarding the swords however, luckily for us it did not prevent us from continuing our film session. Trees and grass were best suited for the environment we were planning for the initial stage. Ethan was a director and cameraman, and then he recorded several scenes that were in our sketch while Chad rehearsed them. Although it took a few attempts to do the right thing, we finally made it. Remembering our script proved to be a challenge, but we did it for just a couple of takes. By making some breaks from time to time, we could also make some minor adjustments to the script so we could feel the tension better. After a few takes, we were better able to play the role of our characters. Chad, as a hero of the situation, had to use a more heroic tone. The fact that I was a villain should have sounded more smug and evil. With Sebastian here with us this time we could finally conclude our filming sessions. He was able to fulfill his role of Ren; one of the characters in our film. Overall Saturday was a successful film day. Though the winds picked up a ton we didn't let us stop us from finishing the film. As we slowly came to wrapping up our films we made some final touches and changes. We redid anything that we think could have been better. We trimmed scenes that felt a little too long to match the pacing of the film. We remembered to take shots from the certain angles that's been taught in class.
