Genre Research: Action


The action genre is when the main character is put in situations where they are filled with intense violence or exciting physical feats. Common camera angles found in the action genre can are close up shots, medium shots, long shots to show a scene Costume: Common clothing for an Action film is suits or specialized costumes to make them more recognizable.Lighting: For an action film there is usually good lighting unless we're in a scene where dynamic flashing or a change of color in lights. Acting: For an action film there is usually good acting to emphasize emotion Makeup: Makeup can be used to help an actor look more like their represent their designated character. Props: Props in a action movie may include items such as weapons, vehicles, or money. Setting: Outside is usually the setting for an action movie as action movies can tend to be more adventurous. Common Editing in action films is usually fast paced camera panning tend to be used in action film to emphasize the dynamics. Other editing such as CGI can be used in action films such as in "The Flash" Common sounds in action films are onomatopoeia. Sounds such as BANG and BOOM are examples of common sounds in this genre of film. Example films of your genres: Avengers Endgame, Black Panther, Spiderman No Way Home The elements I like in action movies are the dynamics that usually occur in mostly action films such as a fighting scene or a running scene.The main element that does not appeal to me is the long plot building. This completely over shadows an action movie for one that is driven for mostly plot.
