Intro Blog

Heya! I'm Jason Pierre, a student in Aice MediaStudies. I am excited to venture deeper into the elements taught and learned to me in this class. I believe this class will assist with my future studies as I broaden my knowledge on the essentials of filming and video production. As a sophomore student at Fort Lauderdale highschool I believe developing the skills that this class teach is important as my future dream may require the skills taught in this class. Being able to identify certain elements of a film can prove to be a useful technique for my field of study in the future. Knowing that continuing to hone and enhance my skills will pay off in the future I thrive for. As a student learning the fundamentals of shots and angles I am deeply impressed with how much I've progressed. Marking benchpoints in this class helps me identify each area I could need assistance in. Aside from this class itself I like the general idea of being able to study films in school. Watching movies and being able to identify the key factors in which the movie uses to successfully become popular is amazing. Generally I like watching movies and getting to watch short films in class is fun as a student taking this college course class. Although we're in the depths COVID-19 getting to eventually record a 12-15 minute film is exciting for me. I look forward to seeing what me and my team create. I'm looking forward to getting to incorporate what I've learned in the previous months into our film. I started with no knowledge of what this class possibly could've been however, now I am more experienced on terms of what this class expects. I like video production and editing so I believe this class is a perfect fit for someone like me. I get to practice acting and editing for film production. As a student I'm looking forward to slowly building up to learning how to make a proper film and how to manage working in the industry. I look forward to my first ever film.

Our group that consists of Chad, Sebastian, and I will feature the Nintendo Switch and all its features. Now our commercial will start with the iconic nintendo switch intro. This is found on all of nintendo switch's commercial intros. It lasts around 2 seconds so this will not take up any filming time that we need. The next panel is where we look at the nintendo switch game menu. This menu will have to showcase to the viewer what the games you can play. In this scene, we will also be entering a game and showing small gameplay. The third scene will show us playing a game together with the screen. This scene is meant to showcase how everyone can play together at the same time. This scene can also show a game being played and what to do which is promoting both the console and the game. Genre Choice

Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. We weren't thinking to add dialogue at first as our idea, but it might be the thing that we need to add. As stated previously, the mystery genre has a decent popularity in films nowadays. The wide variety of aspects and work that goes into these films really brings it all together. Which further creates something that truly represents mystery.
