Production Blog: Chad's House

 Blog about filming

Our final day of filming was today, and everyone made it. We recorded at Chad's place on December 10th, after Ethan's mother dropped us off. I dropped my belongings off at Chad's house and began recording right away. We were only given two and a half scenes to work with. We completed the tenth scene by bringing the pursuing action to a close with me being pursued and Chad catching up to me. The chase continued in the 11th scene until I was unable to continue and turned back. Because Ethan was behind me and we couldn't get the timing correct for the entire scene, this was the most difficult scene. As a result, Chad had to take a couple steps back while walking. Then we decided to include Sebastian in the video just to see what he could achieve. As a result, for scene 12, we created Sebastian. Chad made his way up to me, fists clenched. It took an hour to accomplish this filming session.

Editing Blog

I changed the beginning of the video to include a black and white intro that fades into color during editing. This was a change to reflect a darker side of nature in the upcoming video. Following that, we used my laptop to edit in the newly recorded bits. We opted to fade everything to black for a few seconds because the finish was a mystery and the story had no actual ending. Because I left it up to the spectator to decide what happened, there were numerous mysteries in our video.
