Production Blog: Ethan's House

Filming Blog: Streets

On November 27th, we began filming, and everyone in our group was there to assist. I went over to Ethan's house and we decided to record near the streets of his home. We came here first because the first three scenes are almost entirely made up of two persons walking between them. Our outfits will consist of black attire with long pants and a hooded jacket. Me, Sebastian, Ethan, and Chad all appeared in the song video, with Chad and Sebastian playing the lead roles and me and Ethan playing supporting roles. The opening scene will begin with a cinematic picture of the city, which will include areas such as cars driving down the street, numerous stores found in plazas, and neighbors. The second scene will transition from cinematic views to the video's story. Im being shown in this scene holding a briefcase that Chad provided. The camera will follow him around while the music plays, then transition to the third scene, where Chad, who had been lurking behind the corner, begins to pursue him. Everything was completed perfectly, and it only took about an hour to complete. Chad found it difficult to play a melancholy and emo character, and emerging from the corner in a mysterious manner proved difficult. Sebastian and Ethan both worked as cameramen, and neither of them had any issues with shakiness.

Editing Blog:

In the first Day of Editing I was the one who finished editing the video we have thus far. He began by fading in from black and white to color. All of the scenes of merely nature that we filmed were only visible for around a second and a half at each site. They were witnessed being chopped in half between one another. The first scene will end when the color fades completely, and the second scene will begin. Sebastian will immediately cut to him walking to his office with his briefcase. We considered filming Sebastian walking in a panning shot. We considered whether or not we should make Sebastian walk through several locations to demonstrate that he was progressing with his walk, but we ultimately opted against it. The third scene was an over-the-shoulder shot with Chad in the background.
