How do your products represent social groups or issues? The film, “The unseen” is about a girl who seeks vengeance upon her friends after seemingly behaving paranormally. The film itself was to follow a mysterious/horror type of film. The  issue being represented in this film is anxiety. The whole aim was to spark curiosity and anticipation into our viewers. They would soon be met with many surprises in this film as they dive deep into the lore of our most interesting character Erica. At first glance she may seem like an ordinary teenager however her true self comes to light as she is put in a space where she is severely socially anxious in a mall. Throughout the film, the sound design plays a crucial role in capturing the sense of isolation and unease that comes with social anxiety. The use of mall background noises and a distant, echoing quality to the character's own thoughts highlights the feeling of being disconnected from others and trapped in her own mind. Erica can relate t

We scheduled a day to meet on set and began discussing the changes we needed to make. We went over the feedback in detail, brainstorming ways to improve the pacing, acting, and overall tone of the film. We started by setting up the camera and lighting equipment, making sure that everything was in the right position. We then rehearsed the scenes a few times, making sure that the timing and blocking were improved. Melvin helped with the lighting, ensuring that the shadows were used to improve the mood of the film. As we filmed the retakes, we went over all the feedback. We were all working together towards a common goal, and it was a great feeling to see the improvements that we were making. When we wrapped up the final retakes, we all felt a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. We knew that we had done everything we could to make the film the best it could be. We all congratulated each other on a job well done, and I felt grateful to have such a supportive and talented group of peo

After finishing our film I gathered feedback from what people thought of our film. Many said it was creative and had a lot of potential. People stated the storyline was interesting. It may have been hard to follow but they still were able to tell the purpose of each scene. People really enjoyed the cinematography. The camera angles were almost done as if it was a professionally done movie. They were surprised by the 5-minute horror/mystery film produced by high school students. Despite some of the limitations that come with being a student film, this production showed a lot of potential and talent. The use of lighting and sound effects was especially impressive to many people, creating an eerie and suspenseful atmosphere that drew the audience in. The story was engaging and well-constructed, with a clear sense of direction and purpose. The practical effects used in the film were also quite impressive, creating a believable and menacing monster that added to the overall tension and exci

Today marks the end of filming, and it’s been a crazy experience. It’s always nice to wrap up a shoot, but I’m feeling incredibly grateful for this experience. From the very beginning, I knew that this project was going to be somewhat difficult. The script was incredible, the cast was amazing, and the crew was top-notch. It’s been an honor to work alongside with my group. I was eager for the arrival of the last day of filming. There’s a sense of relief that comes with knowing that all the hard work is done. This project has been my life for the past few weeks, and it’s going to be strange not seeing these people every day. As I pack up my things and say my goodbyes, I can’t help but think about all the experience we had filming. There have been long days at the mall, but there have also been moments of laughter and joy. It’s amazing how quickly you can form bonds with people when you’re working together towards a common goal. We’ve all been working so hard to make this film the best it

I was very excited to go to the mall to record for our film. I had been planning for this for weeks as I was ready to record some scenes with the group. When we arrived at the mall, I quickly sat up some of the equipment we would need to film. We managed to record just a few seconds of a scene until unfortunately the mall closed at an early time causing us to postpone some of our other scenes. Although we managed to record half of one scene I wish we were able to cover more footage accordingly to our storyboard. It was already tough with all of us having to figure out some way to get there. Transportation seemed to be the toughest part of filming. We have another date to film however for now I'll be editing the footage we managed to cover. I expect that we should be able to get done with 2 to 3 scenes in our next filming session. The mall seemed crowded with people at first but later on less people were there. This allowed us to film better without outside disturbances. The mall j
